Press Release - 15 Feb 2010: The Social Den adopts the Polar Conservation Organisation (PCO) as its Corporate Social Responsibility Partner
US-based social media marketing agency, The Social Den, has chosen the Polar Conservation (PCO) as its Corporate Social Responsibility Partner. The Social Den will donate 2% of all profits to PCO to help ensure a sustainable future of the Polar Regions. “Corporate responsibility is crucial to causing change. By donating a portion of our profits and by using our reach in social media to promote the work being done by the PCO, we hope to make a real difference in the Polar Regions,” says Ryan Saghatelian, Co-Founder of The Social Den.
“We are delighted that The Social Den has committed itself to a long-term relationship with us,” says PCO founder, Brendon Grunewald. “With its help and support, the PCO will be able to drive forwards its ambitious programme to build awareness of the issues that are endangering the Polar Regions and have a global impact.”
“With the recent launch of our company, we have been working diligently to partner with a non profit organization that we believed in. Growing up and living in the cold climate of the Rocky Mountains in Montana, all of us at The Social Den love nature and the outdoors. The Social Den recognizes that global climate change affects all of us and it is the Polar Regions that are the first areas of our planet to be impacted. Recognizing and increasing awareness of our changing poles is crucial to bringing about a change in the policies and practices that affect global warming,” says Ryan Saghatelian.
“We first became of aware of the PCO when looking for a great polar bear logo for our company. When we found one we liked, we tracked down the photographer and it turned out to be Brendon. After learning about the great things the PCO was doing and talking with Brendon, a relationship was born,” explains Ryan Saghatelian.
Ryan Saghatelian notes, “The Social Den is proud to be a part of an organization as progressive as the PCO. Hopefully with The Social Den’s wide audience in the social web, there will be increased awareness of the crisis in the Polar Regions and positive action will result.”
