Icebreaker to study seals

An icebreaker that is based in Seattle, the “Polar Sea” will be studying seals in the Arctic for a period of two months. The ship is on its way now.
Their mission, apart from studying seals, will also be enforcing the laws and treaties and visit Alaskan towns.
On board are scientists from the National Marine Mammal Laboratory, who will conduct a population survey of four species of ice seals.
