Cargo airlifted to the Arctic

An Russian Il-76 Candid military transport aircraft has completed delivering personnel and equipment to a drifting polar station in the North Pole.

Air Force spokesman Colonel Alexander Drobyshevsky said that the aircraft carried motor vehicles, helicopter fuel, other cargo and personnel to the Barneo field camp. The aircraft was set to make three trips to the camp.
