 rst undisputed expedition to reach the North Pole\, the Scott Polar Re
 search Institute and Polar World are delighted to present a touring ex
 hibition of prints of Sir Wally Herberts stuining paintings of the Arc
 tic and Antarctic.  The Art of Exploration is an important exhibition 
 which gives its audience an evocative insight into the experience of t
 he polar wilderness.  Sir Wally Herbert passed away recently and this 
 is an opportunity to celebrate his contribution to our knowledge of th
 e polar world.
