During OutDoor 2010 in Friedrichshafen, Germany, in exchange for one disposable water bottle and at least a €2 donation to PCO, participants of the 1+2 Exchange will receive a reusable stainless steel water bottle from Stanley. In order to underline their choice of making a difference in environmental protection participants will also sign a pledge located at the Stanley booth. “Each one of the 500 Stanley stainless steel water bottle distributed helps prevent further burden to landfill sites by throwaway bottles that would otherwise pollute the environment.” says Rebeccca Zistel, Associate European Marketing Manager.
PCO and Stanley first cooperation was during the Outdoor Trade Show 2009 at Stoneleigh in the UK. The event served to create awareness and raised almost £500 for the PCO cause. “PCO’s partnership with Stanley and participation in Friedrichshafen offers an ideal exchange platform to raise awareness about issues surrounding the Polar Regions. Money raised for PCO will be directly allocated to PCO’s communication, outreach and education projects with the objective of a sustainable future for the Polar Regions which have a huge impact on the rest of the planet.” explains Kris Molle from PCO who will also represent the foundation at the Stanley booth at OutDoor 2010 in Friedrichshafen. The show will take place in Friedrichshafen, Germany from July 15th to 18th, 2010, Stanley will be located in Hall B3 Stand 403.
The PCO would welcome approaches from other like-minded organisations interested to form a custom CSR partnership.
Every year, the outdoor branch comes together to the international summit meeting in Friedrichshafen, in the region where Germany, Austria and Switzerland meet. As the world’s leading trade fair in its branch, the OutDoor is a must for industry, trade, media and multipliers. As the venue for the OutDoor, Friedrichshafen provides an authentic backdrop, and treats its guests to a unique holiday flair, both at the trade fair and away from it. Conducting professional business in a relaxed atmosphere:,that is the motto that an increasing number of exhibitors follow every year: at the last count, it was 810 exhibitors from all over the world at the OutDoor 2009.
