Emergency prevention and the coordination of emergency responses in Arctic

As it was announced at Arctic Council Meeting of Senior Arctic Officials in Kautokeino, Norway 19-20 November 2008 in accordance with the Arctic Council Russian Project implementation "Arctic Rescue" , there will be an International scientific - practical conference "Emergency prevention and the coordination of emergency responses in Arctic" in the city Anadyr, Chukot Autonomous Area, August 17-21, 2009.

It is planed to discuss wide range of problems connected with prevention and liquidation of emergency situations of different origin: natural, technologic, ecological. We also plan to discuss possible threats of nuclear character.
Conference participants will get the opportunity to view the objects of infrastructure and life support of the city Anadyr.
