Arctic Science Summit Week (ASSW) 2011

The purpose of ASSW is to provide opportunities for international coordination, collaboration and cooperation in all fields of Arctic science and to combine science and management meetings. The ASSW also offers insight into Arctic research that is undertaken by the host country and membership countries. Side meetings that will be organized by other groups with interests in Arctic science and policy will take place at the same time.

The Arctic Science Summit Week (ASSW) is the annual gathering of international organizations engaged in supporting and facilitating Arctic research. The purpose is to provide opportunities for international coordination, collaboration and cooperation in all fields of Arctic science and to combine science and management meetings.

In odd number years the ASSW includes a 3-day Science Symposium in addition to the business meetings of the participating organizations.

The theme of the ASSW 2011 Science Symposium is The Arctic: New Frontier for Global Science.

Abstract submission will be possible from October 15, submission deadline is 15 December 2010.
