The National Academy of Sciences and National Science Foundation are organizing a celebration of the early accomplishments of International Polar Year 2007-2008.

The meeting will include highlights of IPY science projects, focusing on common lessons being learned in both the Arctic and the Antarctic. Topics will include climate change, sea ice stability, Antarctic ecosystems, people in the changing Arctic, and more.
