Call for co-ordinated EU policy on the Arctic

A new consultant's report on the European Union and the Arctic Region published by the Nordic Council of Ministers calls on the EU to draw up a comprehensive Arctic policy.The report - ’The European Union and the Arctic’ - identifies several areas in which the EU ought to adopt a more co-ordinated approach. Published on 29 August,the report will be followed on 9-10 September by a high profile conference in Greenland attended by representatives of the Nordic governments, the European Parliament and the EU Commission.
