Arctic Bases

Information on all the Arctic Polar Regions Bases, Stations, Field Camps and Refuges. Some of them are occupied year round and some only during the summer periods. Some might only be used for a short period only. These Bases, Stations, Field Camps and Refuges in the Arctic Polar Regions belong to a great variety of nations. Most bases are owned, operated and staffed by a single country, however, there are some stations that are shared between 2 or more countries. Closed down Bases, Stations, Field Camps and Refuges are also included in this list. The Arctic Polar Regions include areas from countries like Canada, US, Russia, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
