Latin name: Leucosticte arctoa

Population: unknown

Where found: Siberia from the Lena Delta to the northern coast of the Sea of Okhotsk and westward to central Siberia

Age/ life expectancy: unknown

Wingspan: 32-37 cm

Length: 14-18 cm

Weight: 20-25 g

Mating/Breeding: poorly studied, but probably similar to the Grey-crowned Rosy-finch

Eggs: 4-5 white, rose-tinged eggs

Hibernation: migrates to southern Siberia and east to China and Japan

Hunting Habits: forages for seeds and buds and pecks insects from vegetation and while flying

Feed on: chiefly seeds, but also insects and buds

Colour/Body
: Very similar to the Grey-crowned Rosy-finch but the head is overall dark grey, rather than showing a distinct dark forehead. The nape is pale grey with a rosy tinge. The remaining plumage is as the Grey-crowned Rosy-finch, but it is washed silver on the underparts and upperwings
