Chilean Antarctic Information Network (CHAIN)

last update: Jan 12, 2011 06:21 PM

The Chilean Antarctic Information Network (CHAIN) is a compilation of services which seeks to fill the need for polar logistical support. It is a network of information and opportunity, oriented towards Antarctic operators that require goods and services, using the city of Punta Arenas, Chile, as an operations base. CHAIN appreciates that the extreme south of Magallanes is an open area that provides for access to Antarctic spaces - terrestrial, aerial, and marine - giving the city of Punta Arenas a central role in the preparation of voyages to the ultimate end of the Earth.
