The PCO currently has the following vacancies ...

PCO Web developer (Zope / Plone):

The PCO is currently seeking a zope / plone developer to manage and extend the PCO website, including

  • Advising on technical capabilities, ideas and possiblities,
  • Developing and managing an implementation roadmap,
  • Installation and customisation of plone / zope modules,
  • Development of new custom modules as required,
  • Working with design and content people to ensure optimal functionality,
  • Maintain and support the website by upgrading and updating the technology while ensuring security and scalability.

Type of Job: Volunteer or Freelance developer (student job over summer period also possible).

Writer / Journalist:

The PCO is currently seeking a writer / journalist to assist the non profit develop and expand its content and presence in publications. Task will include:

  • Assess current content and publication channels,
  • Develop a publication strategy and implementation plan,
  • Work with current and new content partners and contributors,
  • Research and write content,
  • Interview and publish articles on influential people, events etc.

Type of Job: Volunteer.

Sponsor / Partner Marketing:

The PCO is currently seeking a marketing person to assist the non profit develop an appropriate marketing strategy and plan to raise awareness of the PCO and its goals and to attract sponsors and partners to support and join the PCO organisation in its efforts to achieve its goals. Task will include:

  • Develop a sponsor / partner value proposition and appropriate materials,
  • Research and approach potential sponsors and partners (partners should include none sponsors like content provider partners, other NGO's with a polar interest etc)

Type of Job: Volunteer or student job over summer period.
