Welcome to the new virtual home of Jeroen, one of the leading members of PolarConservation.org. Here you will find my thoughts, ideas and interests regarding everything Polar.

As the site owner and manager of Het Laatste Continent (in Dutch only) I am passionate about Antarctica, but the North Pole is starting to grow on me!

From 22 January to 5 February 2008 I traveled to Antarctica, following in the footsteps of Adrien de Gerlache - one of the more famous polar travelers, renowned for the first scientific expedition to the Antarctic Peninsula. Read all about it on my weblog (only available in Dutch).
